EU citizens and their family members who are EU citizens must apply for a permanent residence card/ MEU3 if they have resided legally in the Republic for 5 consecutive years. Family members of EU citizens who are not EU citizens must apply for a permanent residence card within 1 month of expiry of their residence card.

How to check immigration status in Cyprus?

To enquire on the status of your immigration in Cyprus, you would send an SMS to 1199 with the message STATUS then the number of your application. In the receipt, where you paid the application fees you can find the application number. Alternatively, one may also send an email to the Civil Registry and Migration Department at migration@crmd.moi.gov.cy or come in person to the Immigration Unit. Using SMS (Text Message) Retrieve your number of application: This is the number presented on the receipt you got when you applied and paid the fees.

2. Wait for a response:
You should receive a notification about the status of your application within a
few days.
Using Email

Compose an email: Send an email to migration@crmd.moi.gov.cy.
Attach required information: Your full name (as in your passport), passport number and Pink Slip reference number (where you have one) and the date of your application or renewal request should be included in your email.
