France has adopted a new legislation in relation to offering investment products and services to its citizens and this has been adopted by CySEC with Circular C202 – France’s national legislation regarding the prohibition of electronic advertising to retail investors when offering speculative, complex and risky products in the territory of France.
In short the new legislation prohibits the distribution of marketing material, by any means, that do not clearly indicate the financial risk with factual data or the loss has the potential to be higher than the investment
