Annual Renewal Fee: To complete the renewal process, a nominal fee of €80 is required.


Continuous Professional Development (CPD): As part of the renewal application, you must confirm that you have completed the required CPD units for each certification in the previous year. The number of CPD units varies based on your certification level:


  • Basic or AML certification: 10 hours of relevant seminars
  • Advanced certification: 15 hours of relevant seminars
  • Basic and AML certification: 15 hours of relevant seminars
  • Advanced and AML certification: 20 hours of relevant seminars

Online Application: The renewal application is conveniently completed through CySEC’s website, ensuring a streamlined process.


CPD Exemption for First-Time Registrants: If you registered for the first time during the previous year, you are exempt from completing the CPD requirements for the renewal process.


Deregistration and Re-registration: Failure to renew your registration within the deadline will result in automatic deregistration. Re-registration requests are only applicable within 12 months from the deadline’s end, until the 28th of February 2024. A re-registration fee of €280 applies in such cases.
